In the morning we tried our luck at the tourist information. But after the really good experiences in New Zealand we were a bit disappointed of the toursit information center in Bangkok. A very empty building and spare information for people coming in. So we went on to Siam square which is the main shopping area in Bangkok. But being overwhelmed by the mass of products and the different measures of Asian bodies (ergo no clothing for strange formed European bodies) we only managed to buy a Harry Potter book.
So we took the Skytrain to the Chatuchak weekend market where even more products waited for new owners. After this really interesting trip to a Thai market how you would expect it the train took us back to the air-conditioned super malls where we searched in vain for soccer jerseys (they seem to be sold old everywhere) and only managed to watch the England game on big screen. For the way back we were brave enough to hop into a tuk-tuk and enjoyed an adventurous drive back.
