House Warming Party

Sunday, March 4th, 2007

Last weekend we had our house warming party and around 20 persons found their way to Karlsruhe. Saturday evening we had a small “party” as some of the guests which had a longer drive to our place already headed for a couple of beers. And on Sunday we had a large brunch with heaps of food and we almost managed to get rid of everything ;-)

And now up to a short overview on what we have been up to the last two months. Right back in January we started with the big birthday/house warming party at Lena’s place. It was really interesting to see how many people fit in an appartment as large as 42 m².

Another highlight was a visit to the wedding exhibition in Freiburg. But the real highlight was not the exhibition itself but the ride back to town. Andreas and I managed to convince the moderator of the wedding show that we are the true winners for his challenge and as a present we got a ride back to town. The ride took place in the offical “Paris Hilton” Hummer Strech Limousine. It’s an awesome feeling driving down the KaJo in Freiburg and being “really” important.

And finally my cousin and godson Pierre came over from Paris. For him it was the first visit for “Fasnet” time and so he went to some carneval processions with us. At first he had a strange look on his face when we put him into an Indian costume and painted his face. But after seeing that everybody else had coloured faces as well he really enjoyed it and went nuts when the “Narren” threw candies at him.
