Again towards the Elbe. We went to visit the Speicherstadt. Within the Speicherstadt we went to the Dungeon which can be described as an event museum. In the museum the Hamburg history is depicted with real actors who show the cruelty that happened. After that we tried to visit the Miniaturland as well but in order to get in you have to wait almost 2 hours.

So we decided to go on and walked to the HafenCity. The HafenCity is a planned extension of Hamburg right in the middle of the existing city. And as some of the buildings are already finished you get an interesting picture of enormous building sites, modern houses and views on the harbour.

And one last story before finishing the tales of Hamburg. On our way back we first took the S-Bahn in the wrong direction. But with this coincidence we met Tino (a former colleague of mine) at the station where we got our right train.

After the nice breakfast in our hotel we walked to the Jungfernstieg one more time. From there we started a boat tour through the chanels of the Alster where we could see all the luxurious houses that we’ll never can afford. Apart from the temperatures the boat tour was really interesting. But however it’s your own fault if you visit Hamburg in January

From there we continued our way to the Landungsbrücken and even further to the old Elbe Tunnel. We made our way beneath the Elbe to the other side. There we enjoyed the cold wind and the view towards the city. In the afternoon we visited Robin and then went to Altona to meet Dagmar and Bram.

Together with them we went to a Greek restaurant and then there flat. The evening was worthwhile and we hardly managed to get the bus to the hotel.
